Windoes update failure

Every time i try to install the following updates i get total failure, any
ideas anyone? No updates means no security.

I've had a similar problem with this in the past, I would attempt an XP Pro
windows update and I would always get an error message that my machine was
not registered, whatever that meant. The point is, I did nothing to actually
resolve the issue other than research it (without success) and suddenly I was
able to update again!! Strange.
