Hi I am using Sapphire Radeon HD 4890 VAPOR-X 2GB in my system and I am
having some trouble. I was advised by ATI to come here. I use a custom ICC
profile with WinColor and it works but and here is my problem...when I am
playing a game(s) the color profile wont work. It always did on my machine
when I was using Nvidia based cards so why wont it work with the ATI cards?
Does anyone know how I can get it to work when I am gaming? I have Catalyst
9.9. My detailed system specs are: OS Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600; 2X Sapphire Radeon HD 4890
VAPOR-X 2GB (in crossfireX); Mushkin XP3-12800 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600; ASUS
Rampage Extreme ATX X48; Intel Core 2 Duo E8400

What happens if you use one of the standard profiles?

The same thing happens no mater which profile I used it works on/in all my apps except for any of the games I have.

What exactly about the profile doesn't work? Do the games run, or do they
lock up, or what? What exactly are you expecting to see that you're not
seeing?
When you installed the ATI card, did you uninstall the nvidia drivers
beforehand? Have you tried uninstalling the current ATI driver, rebooting,
then reinstalling them?

There is nothing wrong with the games themselves no lock-ups ect. The problem I am having is I have a custom ICC (color) profile that I use with my monitor for color correction, and the profile does not get applied to games. However it works in all the other apps I which have on my computer. The program I use to force the color profile is Wincolor

Yes I have removed the NVIDIA drivers before installing the ATI ones; I have
uninstalled the ATI drivers and rebooted then put them back on; And I have
even tried older versions of the ATI drivers. Nothing that I do gets the
color profile to work with games.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Wincolor now that the ATI
drivers are in?

I know you don't have MCE, but I found this 2008:

"OK here's what I've found after trying the archived ATI drivers, only 7.8
and earlier drivers worked under MCE 2005, 7.9 and later (including the
latest 8.1) were incompatible. This is a bit disappointing to say the least,
especially when they are supposed to be the latest drivers for MCE."

OK so the /L gets it to load up when my computer starts however which is nice however it's still not being applied to any of my games :(
