I just installed a Xircom CEM33 Multifunctional Ethernet adapter on Windows
95B Laptop. It is a PCMCIA device and it is old... like from 1996. It loaded
both the driver for the modem and the network adapter. But when I go to
winipcfg it cannot renew from the DHCP server. Then I go and assign IP
myself and then I ping some computers on my network. I looked at my network
switch.. there WAS ABSOLUTELY NO traffic on that port. (The LED wasnt even
blinking) Although it is on because the switch detects a link between the
adapter and the switch. Its a 10BT card and a Netgear 5 port 10/100 switch.
