Got a good one involving win32k.sys...seems I am getting this BSOD and i cannot get beyond the opening Windows screen before I get the BSOD. The address for the failure is BF83AC32. I cannot get into safe mode either, so how can I fix this file using recovery console, it is the only option I have. Thank you for your reply.

sounds like you need to run a repair installation of Windows. If you have a major brand PC, chances are, this is not an option. You may have to reinstall Windows.

win32k.sys is a generic file. Usually, you will need to know what causes win32k.sys to crash.

The numbers in the stop error indicate something. You will want to check the Stop code (represented as 0x00000000A or something similar). Each one is different with a combination of letters and numbers. I cannot locate the MS link currently, but here is one to get you started.

You could try to extract the file from the OS CD. http://www.winxptutor.com/expand.htm
This, again, assumes that the issue is with win32k.sys rather than something else.

In the end, you can check to see if you have dump files. This will allow you to read what is going on when the machine crashes. https://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/reading-dump-files-t4035605.html
