win2kserver/win2k peo dual boot NIC problem

hello

machine dual boots wind2kserver/win2kpro. when i boot to win2k pro
i can connect to other machines and the internet. but when i boot
to the win2kserver i cannot. ping loopback is ok,ping to gateway times
out, device manger reports no problems with the nic. these two OSes
cannot share a nic?
each OS sets the NIC to a diff. ip address.

or i just need a 2nd nic for the win2kserver boot?

You should be able to use one nic with both your installations.

Also, ensure that each installation has it's own NetBIOS name.
