win2k VPN incoming connection

Hi all,
I have a win2k pro box and would like to set it up as a VPN server. I have
tried to make this work and believe I have not properly installed something.
The computer has access to the company lan and internet, so that part is
okay. Going to network, make new, accept incoming, only shows parallel port
connection. I only have one nic on this box, but believe this should be no
problem as I have done the same on WinNT4.0. Could anybody tell me what I'm
missing?

I have seen this error a few times. What I would suggest sounds drastic, but
I would uninstall TCPIP and the network card, then reinstall them. Once you
do that you should have the options you are missing. In XP we can just reset
the IP stack with a cmd.
