Win2k Trusts

I'm having trouble establishing trusts between one
particular domain (call it Domain1) and any other domain.
I've done an LMHosts file and verified that it is done
right. I have secondary DNS zones in each domain for the
other domain. I can ping any hostname in either domain
from the other domain, so I know DNS is working. From
Domain1, I can't make a trust, either in MMC or with
NETDOM, one way or two way. From the other domains, I can
establish the trust, but can't verify them.

I'm pulling my hair out trying to find the problem, and I
know it's probably something simple. Any help here would
be greatly appreciated! Feel free to email me directly if
you want to stay off thread.

Make sure the DNS is AD integrated.

I've been going through the DNS on the newer domain, and
there's not much there in the way of _msdcs, etc... I'm
manually recreating these entries. Is there a better way?
There are a couple of alias entries under _msdcs that I
don't understand. they point to the Fqdn of the PDC, but
I don't know where the values come from?

that should be there just make sure the zone type are Active Directory
integrated.
