Win2K SP4 - taking 2 days to install

I have Win2K SP1. I started installing SP4 almost 2 days ago and it is still
installing. I did choose to back up my current config in the install options,
but I still would not expect it to take this long.

Is something wrong here?
 
Yes something is wrong. If you do a CTR-ALT-DEL | Task Manager...| Applications is the installer still running or is it Not Responding?
 
Stop SP4. Delete your temporary files. Do an error check/fix on the disk. Try
again.
