win2k - service control manager sends event 7000

Carmela

Hello,

When booting my IBM ThinkPad 390x the service control
manager sends event 7000 twice, with the messages:
- The N196Port service failed to start due to the
following error:
The parameter is incorrect.

- The DS1410D service failed to start due to the following
error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

I would like to know what and how to do to get rid of
these messages.

Thank you,

Carmela

Hi Carmela,

Do you have or have you had Autocad on the system?
or
Research on the web suggests that the DS1410D.SYS is a driver for a dongle
http://www.iceditors.com/ntfix.html
You may want to start there.
