Win2K - Moviemaker2 OR Slideshows

I run Win2K Pro, seems Movie Maker 2 (XP) doesn't make VCD anyway, and my
DVD writer has Ulead anyway.

BUT what i want to do is make a slideshow in VCD format to run on a DVD
player (not a PC), which picks up the Captions automatically from the IPTC
area on the JPEGs that I have for input.

These are a heap of scanned photos and digital photos ex camera, for which
we have input suitable caption info using Irfanview (v3.91) - a great
program, by the way.

I don't want to manually enter captions again - which is what the "SE"
version of Ulead's DVD PictureShow 2 (a part of Ulead DVD Movie Suite Deluxe
SE) requires me to do.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is a really nice product for slideshows. Besides allowing you to use
exif data for captions it has lots of "Caption effects" too. And it also
gives you most comprehensive output options: dvd/vcd/exe/web/email etc.
