Hi,
I have a Cisco VPN 3005 Concentrator, and I want to use Windows 2000 IAS
for RADIUS authentication/authorization. I have authentication working fine,
but I'm having some trouble setting up authorization. The settings on the
Cisco VPN box have a spot for a 'Common User Password' - if this is left
blank, then it just uses the username submitted as the password.
The problem is that when a user tries to login, the common user password
is submitted as their username, but this is not their password, and the
login/authorization attempt fails with a 'bad username or bad password'
error. If I hard code a password for a test user, then it works, otherwise,
no luck.
My real question is: how do I get authorization working on my Windows
2000 IAS server for my Cisco VPN 3005 Concentrator? What do I do with the
'common user password' field on the VPN config?
Thanks,
Mike
