Win2k dhcp client and static routes ...

Hy all,

I've been setting up win2k vpn clients ... so far so good, i've
switched from Win2k ras to linux ras for performance reasons, but now
I still can't figure out a way for the win2k clients to see the entire
network (multiple networks / subnets) WITHOUT using the ras-server as
default gateway. (with ras server as DG everyting works fine ... but
it means that internet traffic from the clients is also being routed
through the ras server...)

I've read that the MS implementation of DHCP does not cope with
"static routes" set in the dhcp-server ...

Are there alternatives than ? I don't want the users having to click
a batch-file for setting up the static routes everytime they VPN in ..

thnx,
gert

I know about adding routes (persistent or not), but as I posted in my
mail, I don't want to rely on manually setting routes via
logon-scripts or other batch files. There is also the problem of
regular users in Win2k not being able to change the routing table ...

I'll be using rip (or maybe ospf) for route announcement ... just need
to do a bit of reading on setting things up...

bye,
gert
