Win2K crash in crossover connection

Hello All,

I connect 2 computers using crossover cable, one of them is running
XP home the other running Win2K. The Win2K box already has the cable
attached when I plug the other end of the cable into the xp box the
Win2K always crashes showing Deadblue screen. I have to restart the
computer with the cable kept plugged in.

Anyone know why is this happening and how to fix it or any alternative
for setting up a stable connection with crossover cable.

The other question is that I am actually no sure of how to to set it
up. Is there any detail tutorial on this topic, esp for Winxp home+
Win2K?
