Ok i will try to be as simple as possible cause it's a bit complicated.
Current setup:
win2k domain (2 Domain controllers) name "MYDOMAIN", DNS server, DHCP server
(one subnet mask) on the domain controllers.
Exchange 2000 on the first domain controller.
53 workstations connected in the domain
1 firewall, 1 router, 3 switches and 1 leased line. If you combine all this
we have one working business enviroment.

Here is the situation:
One project that we have requires to work on Sharepoint 2003 and Exchange
2003. Both of them only works in Windows 2003 server.
We do not want to mess with the current installation and have all of them
combined. What is the best and painless solution for this ?

Here are my thoughts:
I know that we cannot join the win2003 machine in the win2000 domain. Can i
make a completely independent domain named "MYDOMAINB" with my current
set-up ? i don't want the two domains to communicate if that will cause a
problem. perhaps on a different switch, hub somewhere connected inbetween,
maybe a different subnet mask.
Objectives here are not to have exchange 2003 for example be able to send
internet mail or to communicate with ex2k etc, just to work inside for
testing. I want as many solutions as possible

Any suggestions, guidelines, links will be more than welcome.

Thank you

May I suggest you go to Small Business Server 2003? It comes with Windows
2003, Exchange 2003, and a version of Sharepoint. I know you don't want to
mess with your current installation and have them all combined, but the
migration is fairly painless. SBS2003 allows up to 75 user or device CAL's,
so you'd be ok there - at least in the short term.

Anyway, it's just one thought. I'm sure you'll get many...
