For those that check and dl the updates manually, I just dl'd 6 updates for
my Win2000Pro which I don't believe were available two days ago. You may
want to check the MS update site yourself.

Why do they come out with so many updates in a couple days? Are they
just responding to virus threats and other security issues? I surely
cant see where they would need to get rid of bugs or add extras that
often?

And, I have wanted to ask this for ages. For ALL MS operating
systems, what files are the ones most often updated? I'm more
familiar with win98, but when I looked at the file dates after most
updates, I rarely saw any changes in .exe or .dll files. That makes
me wonder if they are actually updating the windows files, or is this
more updates for IE and changes to the registry?????

I just found where to DL the updates for Win2000 (prior message). I
can not believe that to upgrade from the original install to version
4, is almost 130megs. What the heck is all in there? My WINNT folder
is 634megs, so at that rate, it's changing around 20% of the files.
I suppose IE6 is included but that's only 20 megs. (zipped).

I guess I'll find out when I get someone to DL it for me. (too large
for my dialup connection).
