There are two computers(A.B) in the LAN.A is win98 and B is win2000 pro. A
and B belong to the same workgroup. There is a sharefolder, named SHARE on
B.Share is given Full Control to all guests.
Now I am using A. I tried to copy files in SHARE, but i failed.
Attempts:
1.give Guests group full control
then i failed.
2.add A as a new user on B and give A Full Control
then try again, but failed.
Anyone can help?

Hi, when the 98 box starts up, use guest as the username
to log unto windows microsoft network. If you are not
prompted for a user login, then setup your network
neighborhood for "microsoft network" login. You can then
use any user to share a drive on the B(w2k) box, as long
as the win98 box logs in with that user name, you will be
able to see & access the share.
PS. try not to give passwords to any of these users on the
win98 box, as it will be used to do authentication to the
w2k machine. Rather leave blank, and fill it in when the
password box appears when accessing the share(s).
Hope it works! Good luck!.
