win2000 deleted folders still visible

on win2000 SP4 + rollup1 ,IE6
when i del a folder its icon remains visible in the folder
"left pan" but with light color as if it was hidden
and clicking on it causes
"....is inaccessible the folder has been moved or
removed"
and it doesn't appear in the right panel
it will only go away if i close & open explorer

This is (a bug, IMO) common in many versions of Windows. Just close and
reopen Explorer.
