Win2000 Backup utilities capabilities?

Used backup to backup my computer when it was running good.

Installed new video drivers which caused computer to go
directly into memory dump after boot up.

Used windows CD to boot computer. Tried repair, no luck.

Reinstalled Win 2000.

Ran backup restore. All looked good until I tried my
shortcuts to Office and Mcafee. Windows replies back
that software misloaded and needs to be reloaded.

Is backup suppost to backup programs other than windows?

Depends what you mean by reinstall win2k; ie Format/install or repair
install
The backup utility is designed to backup files/folders not neccessarilly a
sys.backup. For this you would need something like Norton Ghost
