win XP will only copy 1/2 of my files to the cdr

When using Win XP I can only copy about 800 out of 1500
files from my D: drive to my cdr. I have not exceeded
the capacity of my disk. I run into a file and windows
says there is a problem with the file so I retry then
skip it. That ends the copy process. Is there anyway to
get the files copied over? I don't need to backward
compatiblity to earlier versions of windows. Thank you.

Hi Rick,

have you tried to not copy that file and only all others? Also do you have
enough space on the drive/partition where your CD burning software puts it's
temp files? E.g. Roxio on my XP Pro system will by default put a temp file
in the profile folder of the logged on user.
