Win XP reboots every 3 minutes after installing XP updates

I used Windows update to pick up 7 recommended (non-
critical) updates. Now the machine reboots every 3-5
minutes. It even re-boots while sitting on the Account
Login screen every 10-15 minutes.

When I login I always get "system has recovered from a
serious error"

BCCode: a BCP1:FFFFFFFC BCP2:000000FF BCP3:00000000
BCP4: 8053223E OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 1_0 Product: 256_1

Sending the report then claims it to be a driver error.
I have used McAfee Stinger to rule out Blaster virus.

Any help would be appriciated.
