Hiya :)

I have my screensaver set to come on after a given amount of inactivity.

However, when I click to go back to my 'desktop,' it takes me to the
'log-in' screen for Administrator/User and I have to 'sign-in' again.

What setting needs to be changed?

Regards.

You have most likely set your screen saver to use a password. The screen you
see would therefore not be the logon screen but just a password screen. You
can easily tell: Launch your EMail program (e.g. Outlook), then wait for the
screen saver to cut in. Click to go back to your Desktop and enter your
password. Is Outlook still active? If yes they you were never logged off.

To avoid having to enter your password, tick the appropriate box in your
screen saver.

I'll check and get back to you in a few minutes.

I know that it takes me back to the XP log-in screen. I click my account and
it asks fotr my password (since it is password-protected).

Hiya :)

I figured it out on my own.

It had nothing to do with the screensaver requiring a password. In the
screensaver setting, by default, the 'On resume, display welcome screen' was
checked.

When checked, It goes back to the XP log-in screen where you click which
account you are accessing and then enter the password 9if it is
password-protected).
