Win XP Pro SP1 - Need to clone a HDD

I have just got a new HDD 180GB, and will be replacing my old 40GB HDD.
What i want to do, is Clone my 40GB onto the 180GB.
I have been using Ghost 2003, all copies over OK, but when I reboot the
system, with 180GB as the Master, it fails to load past the Win XP logo.
I have tried a few times now, with the same result.
I have installed the 48Bit LBA fix on to my system, i know it is not that.

I have put the 180GB as a Slave, and can format to 180GB as Drive D, in my
system. Even filled the drive up to see if the drive was at fault. But drive
is AOK.

Has anyone done this in the past.

Thx

Hi Leigh-Anne,

Try running a repair install with the new drive (OS included) in place. It
may be that the existing installation does not like the new hardware it is
running on. Follow these steps to do a repair install which should preserve
your data, settings, and programs:

1. Insert the Windows XP CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM
drive.
2. Restart your computer. If you have to, change the BIOS settings to start
from
the CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer again.
3. At the "Welcome to Setup" page, press ENTER.
4. Press F8 to accept the Licensing Agreement.
5. Use the arrow keys to select the installation of Windows XP that you want
to
repair, and then press R to start the automatic repair process.
6. When Setup is completed, activate Windows XP.

Note that you will need your Product Key for this procedure, so have it
handy before you begin.

Please check the BIOS, some do not support very large disks.
Also may have a setting in the bios.

I have used Ghost to clone 80 gig drives, not used over that yet.
