Win XP New install

Brand bew HD, 120GB. Flashed the BIOS - Dell Optiplex
GX150. Just received XP from MS.

Goes through most of install, but when the system reboots
into XP for the final setup it dies before asking for the
license info and directs msg to setup.log: Msg
'Signature for Windows XP Professional setup is
invalid...System cannot find message text for
syssetup.dll...

Legal copy, brand new install. What gives?!?!

Hmmm.. If you were upgrading, I would say:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=307153

Might want to check that anyway.

Following this thread:

Looks like it could also be faulty RAM.

Tried a new memory module and receive the same error. I
am able to load WIN2K on the machine w/o an issue, but XP
keeps burping.

Same message about signature invalid and goes on to say:
"Set Up failed to install the product catalog. This is a
fatal error."

Going to try a completely other computer. I thought XP
was supposed to be a great improvement, but this issue
and the others I see posted to the board appears as if
it's even more problematic to install!
