Win XP Home Networking Problem

I have connected my kids PC to mine via a LinkSys Cable/DSL Router so that
both can share the internet.

All Works fine apart from the fact that I cannot setup a home network thus
the two PCs cannot see each other (Mine: Win XP HE, kids Win98 SE).

Every time I run the Home Networking Wizard on my PC, it crashes part way
through with a message regards the spooler subsystem app having to close.
Looking on the MS KB only gives references to printing problems and not home
network setup issues.

Please advise further on what the problem could be.

error message about spool is about printers
is your printer working ok?
you could set up home network manually

did you use windows network wizard or linksys wizard?
I believe the router came with disk and instructions

Printer is a HP Deskjet 845c (usb connection) and is working fine. Even
unplugged this and again run the home networking wizard (windows one).
Again got the spool problem !!

I ran the network setup floppy on my kids PC and all was well that end.

Help!
