I have a fast broadband connection.

Every time I look at a web site I have to close it before I search/look at
another.

How do I keep open several web sites at the same time?

I thought my minimizing a web site's home page it would keep it open while I
crossed refrenced another web site but not so, how do I resolve this?

Using Internet Explorer?

Try Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Uncheck 'Reuse windows for
launching shortcuts'.
