Win XP Home Installation Fails

Trying to install my Win XP Home Edition onto a new system.

Get the following Error:
SXS.DLL Syntax error in manifest or policy file
"E:\l386\asms\MFST\WINDOWS\GDIPLUS.MAN" on line 4.

Installation failed. E:\l386\asms. Error Message.
A component's file does not match the verification information present in
the component manifest.

The system is an AMD socket 939 Winchester 3200 CPU on an Epox 9NDA3+ board
with a Seagate SATA drive. The Win XP CD was used successfully before on my
previous system.

1st you'll need to boot into the BIOS,select the cdrom or whatever drive youll
use to boot to xp cd,install xp cd,you can adjust in boot priority devices or
similiar,then exit BIOS,boot to xp cd,at info page,select recovery,press
enter
for password, then type:DiskPart In DiskPart delete the partition(s),then
create
one,then press Esc key,then type:FORMAT C: /FS:ntfs When its thru,type:EXIT
Let it restart, then reboot to xp cd,this time select, install xp.

Examine the Windows XP CD and make sure it is absolutely "pristine clean"
with no scratches, fingerprints or smudges. Use a mild non-ammonia based
household cleaning solution and a soft cloth to clean it.
