Win XP Home and Win 2000 Server connections dropping

What can I do to fix a problem with the dropping of
connections between Windows XP-Home and a Windows 2000
server (member server)? Have a network of (8) WinXP-Home,
(2) WinXp-Pro and (1) Win 2K Server. Network connections
are dropping (disconnecting mapped drives) while users are
active. Connect will re-connect once icon for mapped
drive is clicked on with no problems. This happens with
both Home & Pro. No other problems found as far a power,
network activity or switch. And basiclly users have to re-
connect mapped drives every time the log-in. Any way to
move server from member server to DC with XP-Home being
used to log-in. (Customer will not upgrade to Pro).

I am having the same issue with XP pro disconncting mapped drives to a Win 2k Server. As far as Converting your server to a DC and using XP home to log into it, it wont work. XP home wasnt designed to log into a DC. The only option they have in order to go that route is to upgrade the systems to Pro.
