Hi all,

I have a new version of XP and an old version of Win2000.
XP hangs when connected to the internet and I attempt any
of the following:

1. Run Windows Update - gets to 66% of checking and then
hangs
2. Try to send an email with attachment
3. Try to connect to some websites (no apparent pattern)

Any ideas?

Thanks,

T

Todd,
Log in to WInXP as you normally do. Check for any
folders with the name "temp". Probably under your
x:\Documents&Settings\'username'\?. Make sure the folder
is not full of '0'size files. Delete the ones that you
can. If the folder is full it may take a while to delete
all of the files. Be patient with it!

Hi again,

Have searched all temp folders on my machine and could
not find any spurious files.

Perhaps I need to download all the service packs?
