Hello everybody

I have 2 partitions of windows xp on my notebook. one is for home use one
for studying.
i have formattet the second partition with xp sp1. afterwards i have
installed on the first partition sp2. now the new semester has started and i
had to reinstall the study partition and I reinstalled it with northon ghost.
(image)
now if i choose the study partition to boot, an error occurs. the hal.dll
seems to be missing and the second partition does not load.

the first partition works fine. do you have an idea how I can repare the
second partition?

both partition win xp one with sp2 one with sp1
4 partitions
hal.dll is on the school partition
i have never changed hal.dll of the second partition

thanks for your effort

i forgot to post the boot.ini
[boot loader]
timeout=8
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Home" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINDOWS="Schule" /fastdetect

its the old one which already worked once
