Why dos Win XP create multiple copies of files in
the "Find" function?

Hi,

Are you sure this isn't just the same file found in multiple locations? Or,
do you have file extensions showing? You can have the same file name with
many different file extensions in the same folder.

Quite often you will see multiples of a file
during "Find" for the following reasons:

1)file has copies in multiple locations,
2)file has been open recently and appears in the "Recent"
file listings as well as where it is actually saved
3)file name appears in more than one location but with
different extensions.
