win xp admin question

Hi, if I log in under admin in safe mode and change a bunch of things, will
those changes affect all users on that computer? Basically I am de-virusing a
friends computer. Ive shut down a ton of stuff in the startup tab of msconfig
and Ive run adaware and spybot and a bunch of online virus scans. It all seems
fine in safe mode and under visitor account too. But there are 2 other accounts
for his kids that are password protected. Will what Ive done under admin affect
those too? Hes away on vacation and Id like to have this ready for him when he
gets back. I dont have to run all that stuff for each user, do I? The things I
shut down in msconfig will be shut down under those accounts too, right?

The antivirus will work in all accounts. You will need to go into each
user account and run spyware removal tools because there will be
user-specific malware files. If you don't know the kids' user accounts
passwords, just change them to a blank password from Administrator. You
definitely want to get into those user accounts to continue cleaning
stuff up.
