Win 2k3 Member Server

Hello, I currently have a Windows 2000 AD Domain. We just purchased a new server to be our Exchange 2k3 server, and I would like to run Windows 2k3 Server on it. I will not be installing AD on the new server, but I will be joining it to my 2000 domain. Can I do this? Do I still need to do the adprerp /forestprep and /domainprep commands? I do not want to move to a 2k3 AD domain yet

Thanks

No, you can join a Windows 2003 member server to the domain without running
forestprep and domainprep.
