Log on as local administrator and try to locate documents in the profiles left under
the documents and settings folder. The profiles are folders named the same as the
user logon name. If you deleted the profile the files may or may not be recoverable
using a third party file recovery program. --- Steve

Steve, thanks for your response, however, I'm unable to
get past the Ctrl/Alt/Del log on proceedure where I'm
asked for my user name and password. Any further
thoughts? I have the original Win 2000 disk. Is their
some way of creating a boot disk that will let me in?

regards
Chris

See the FAQ for tips. I have had luck with the procedure for renaming the sam account
and downloading the cd iso image tp burn for the free password reset program, though
it is Linux and may look a little cryptic, but usually you just select enter up until
the part where you are asked to enter an asterisk I believe to create a blank
password and then you are asked to save changes, etc. --- Steve
