this problem!!!

Hi,

When does this error occur ?
Are you trying to install software or do you get this
message on startup ?

Windows File Protection is designed to keep track of
the 'core operating' files to make sure they are not
overwritten. This way XP knows the important files have
not been changed and helps to keep the operating system
stable.

Tim

Something you, or others, are doing is trying to overwrite the critical
system files. Windows XP will not allow it to happen. You also can not
delete many files/folders. They will just come back if you do.

It's for your protection!

Try loading your original CD in the CD Drive, and Start / Run
sfc /scannow
