Will XP still be available after VISTA is released?

If you would do some simple research on it, away from the pro-microsoft
sites, you'll understand that there's nothing new in vista... yeah, lots
of
new code, new drm, etc... but very little is any increase in
functionality.
Vista offers nothing more than total lockin to microsoft products... hell
you can't even play itunes on it...

I run Vista. I know what it is about. Have you? Do you have real
experience with it? Not that I care about iTunes but the problem with
iTunes software on Vista is an iTunes problem. I stand by my original
statement. What you said was hogwash and incredibly ignorant - i.e. - shows
lack of knowledge.

You are totally right... never used vista. But I've read quite a bit on it
and there's really no compelling reason to upgrade from xp to vista
outside
of the new eyecandy it contains.

This statement again shows your ignorance of the OS. It's much more than
eye candy. You have no direct knowledge of it, yet you are comfortable to
make such blanket statements. That's a narrow mind.

Why is that? iTunes runs well on XP... why not on Vista? Answer is, Apple is
not privy to Microsoft DRM api... and probably never will. So... this is
Apples' fault?

I doubt if that's the issue. Apple is reluctant to come out in a sprightly
fashion with something to support a competitor, is more like it.

Vista was released to the public at midnight. Lots of happy folks posting
in Vista.general.
