I want to unstall MS Office and reinstall a brand new 2002 version... not an
upgrade but a virgin install.

I'm worried about my Outlook contacts, saved emails, etc.

Will uninstalling Office and then doing a clean install of the newer version
wipe out my old stuff?

thanks

Outlook does not require a clean install. There is no upgrade version of
Outlook. Just install it over the old version and it will remove the old
program itself and preserve your pst file with all your info. Make sure the
Inbox email is saved to other folders.

It shoudl be ok but ensure you know the location of your PST files and back
them up.
search for possibly hidden files with a PST extension.
