Hello! Well, now the time has come for me to buy a new computer. So this is the one I've decided to buy... But the question is; Will it be able to play the NEWEST games , without lagging and f*cking with me , and even with HIGH details and high resolution etc... Because, I'd like to play games like GTA IV , Far Cry 2 , Crysis , CoD WaW , The Sims 3 , Mercenaries 2 , etc... ( I'm a GAMEbuyer, not a game downloader ;) ) So, Will this PC be able to play theese games with high graphic settings ?

AM2 64 bit/DDR2/SATA II HD/DVDRW 1 € 68,15
ASUS AM2+ GF8200 VGA DDR2 SATA2 GLAN 8CH 1 € 60,10
4GB 800MHZ DDR2 NON-ECC CL5 DIMM KIT 2 € 88,30 ( This is 8GB Ram... )
CAVIAR GP 640GB SATA2 16MB INTELLIPOW 1 € 56,40
VISTA HOME BASIC SP1, SWE, OEM (1) 1 € 80,90
Ace 2in1 CUB102 Wired 1 € 13,90
PC_WARRANTY_EXT PC Garanti: 2 År 1 € 49,00
GIGABYTE NVIDIA GEFORCE 9800GT 1GB 1 € 130,15
AMD ATHLON X2 7850 BLACK EDITION 1 € 62,95
Ace RawDeal Plus 620W 12cm+ 1 € 57,90
VIEWSONIC VA2016W, 20", WIDE, 5MS 1 € 155,10

Total sum :
€ 822,85 ( Which is about 1157,73$ ...)

Will they run ? :)

welcome to PCR

VISTA HOME BASIC

So, will this PC be able to play these games with high graphics settings?
Nope! you'll need a better graphics card.

It's more than sufficient for a typical home or office PC, and will even function reasonably well as a gaming PC, but high performance, nope!

You'll need to spend some more money. ;)

Windows 7 is coming very soon and it will be cheap in the USA.

Both your GFX and CPU will not be able to handle the latest games at high settings.

Read up on some of the test reviews on the latest cpu's and GFX cards. Have a look at Sexy Bex's section at the bottom of the main forum page for plenty of good reeads.

It wasn't the fact you had Vista listed, it was the fact you were going to use "Basic" Vista ... better off with Win 98. :D

They ain't nothing wrong with Vista Premium Edition 64bit, providing you make sure you get a FREE upgrade to Vista Premium Second Edition (Windows 7 ;) ) when it's available in October.

And yes, I have a 9800GT ... in fact it's a re-badged 8800 GT but nVidia were bored one day ... and believe me, it ain't that particularly good if I wanna turn on ALL the fancy graphics. ;)

danni,

MHA ... consider a 9800GT card a minimum, others here should be able to offer a more exact range of cards.

Nothing wrong with Vista ... just make sure it's 64bit AND you are getting a free/cheap upgrade to Windows 7 64bit ... or you may as well buy a 486. ;)
