will not search

in internet explorer 6 the search has stopped working Ican
type in my request but sfter clicking search it stops and
the left side of the browser were the search boxes are
located goes blank

Go to http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm - go down
the page to the section on Various Registry Fixes. Right
click on RepairDefaultPrefix.reg and either open or save
it to your desktop. if you save it, you must double-click
on it to change IE back to where it can search from
address bar. Also make sure search from address bar is
enabled in the tools> internet options> advanced.

I had the same problem and it worked for me.
