will not run, reinstall or uninstall

upon running the program, i get an error message (error
103) and i am asked to contact (e-mail address removed).
when doing this, i am just asked to download the new
version of the product. upon trying to reinstall/uninstall
the program, i am prompted with the following message:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource
that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a
folder containing the installation package 'Microsoft
AntiSpyware.msi' in the box below"
i have never heard of this installation package before, but
without i cannot uninstall.
please respond with help.

Tough one.

The .MSI file referred to is contained within the executable that you
download and run to install Microsoft Antispyware.

Here's what I'd recommend.

Download Microsoft's Windows Installer cleanup tool:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301

Find Microsoft Antispyware on the list it displays, and remove it.

Then download a new copy and install from that download.
