will not play second slide

my presentation will not play the second slide if i start at beginning. i
have deleted and tried more than 1 slide as second slide, but to no avail. if
i start anywhere besides first slide, the whole presentation will play. i am
using sound clips on slides. anyone have the solution?

Right click on the thumbnail of the second slide, see if "Hide Slide" has
been selected. If yes, the numbering beside the thumbnail should also be
crossed out. De-select it again to resolve the issue.

If problem still persists, feel free to send a copy of the ppt to me at
