Get some PC3200...it's about the same price now....Twinmoss or Crucial will

as long as you run it in sync with the cpu

how do you mean in sync?

i think the cpu runs on 266mhz and the ram would run at either 333mhz
for pc2700 or 400mhz for pc3200?

Yes it will work just fine (in sync or not). PC3200 is backward compatible
with PC2700 and PC2100...It will also give you more options should you want
to try overclocking or if you later upgrade to a 400FSB CPU.

PS 'in-sync' is when the FSB and memory bus speed operate at the same
frequency. It's possible to operate the memory bus at a higher speed than
the FSB but generally performance is best if both bus speeds are
synchronised.
