Why do that? You can easily convert your Access 97 databases to Access
2003 with 2003. I understand there are problems trying to run two
versions on the same computer, but that it can be done.
I believe that the upgrade IS the same as the full version, just that
it requires you to insert your old CD at some point in the
installation to show that you do own the old version.

I'm not sure about the 1.x versions but every version from 2.0 onward
can co-reside on one machine. For best results, install them by order
of version and create a separate folder for each of them, something
like: C:\Program Files\ Office 43,,, \Office 97... |Office 2k... etc.
The older versions will run on new OSs but the newer version won't run
on an older OS.
