Wildcards in DNS addresses.

Hi Guys..

This might be a dumb question... i just cant pin down the answer.

I have a website.... xyz.com

I'm planning to sell webspace at example.xyz.com and member.xyz.com etc...

I have setup the main names like www.xyz.com in dns... However, i dont want
to keep adding host records for each of the other websites, especially since
they are going to be based on the same server.

Does anyone know how to get *.xyz.com to work in dns..? i've tried adding it
as an alias but it wont work...

Thanks in advance

Ken.

Yeah, the UI doesn't accept this. Try adding it manually to the zone file.
Should work fine.

Add the wildcard as a sub domain then put a blank host in the sub domain
with your IP.
Then all you need do is add the host header.
