Hey,

On my laptop Windows XP take a long time to boot up. Over
all my computer is very slow compared to others. I have
about 8 gigabytes of free space and I have tried Disk
Defragmentor, none of it is working. Please help!

i think you must try :

start/run/msconfig/startup

then unchoose the programs you dont want to start at startup..
