Wierd problem with network

Hi all

Got a strange problem that is probably me being daft. Have an WES install
and I can ping, I have an ip address and can access the internet. What I
cannot do is access my internal network either through UNC or through ip
address. I am not trying to do anything clever.

Any ideas why?

Here's a hypothesis but I'm sure there are many others. If your netmask is
wrong your system may think that nodes on your internal network are external
so it would try to send the message through the gateway rather than doing
local layer 2 routing.

Thanks for the response.

I'll look at it.

I think that there may also be a permissions issue (aslthough I have tried a
number of things to resolve this!!)
