widen (expand) partition after install?

Hi gents,

Before I installed my vista, I made a new partition on my
harddisk - only to be used for my music..

Stupid as I was, I didn´t make enough space to be used in
the future.....(I just got 42 old cds with music from sister)

Is there anyway to widen (not sure of spelling) (expand) my partition
without risking the files on my partition or my system files with vista??

My harddisk is sata seagate 160 gb and I have made an extra partition
for my music in 6 gb.. (c:/ = 154 gb and d:/ 6 gb)
Can I expand it to like 10-15 gb without trouble???

regards

Mike

Hi Mike,

I use a third party product, but you should be able to shrink C: with disk
manager, then extend D: into the free space. Run diskmgmt.msc from the start
box, right click on C: and you should see an option to shrink it.

Thanks...that worked..
I was able to extend it with 3.3 gb...just about enough
to all the music (if converted to wav)..

Great
