Hi!

Where can I download wia-hp for hp 2400? I dont like TWAIN;/

I think you remove the TWAIN software. Reboot.
Connect the HP scanner and see if Windows XP will then load the WIA for the
scanner.

If that does get you a WIA driver go into Windows Device Manager and scan
for new hardware while the scanner is connected and turned on.

Wia is built-in to Windows XP.
Wia does not support all scanners.

About WIA.

Is your scanner listed?

Windows Update may find a driver for your scanner if one is not already
installed.

huh... I forgot to write main thing - I'm trying to install it on win98SE.
On XP SP2 there is no problem (as usual;))

It's not listed, but it works with XP.

Thank You for the hint. I'll try to do it but now I don't have access to the
computer with win98...

WIA is not supported on Windows 98SE the first OS with WIA was ME.

Quote from the above page:

Under Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Me, and future versions of Windows,
driver support is provided under Windows Image Acquisition (WIA). Under
Windows 98 and Windows 2000, the Still Image architecture (STI) is used for
driver support for image acquisition devices.

For Windows 98SE, you only choice is TWAIN.
