Why is MS pushing SP3 through auto update? They even publish what
precautions one should take before installing and it isn't just click on
the update and install. Gonna have a lot of unhappy campers soon.

Putting it on Auto Updates is pushing it, as, by default, XP is set to
automatically download and install without any user input except, maybe,
an EULA they probably won't read but will accept, trusting Microsoft.
Having it on WU with caveats as to how to prepare for it is not pushing it.

I think you will find a lot of unhappy campers as the SP3 "roll out" is
*pushed* down the throats of unsuspecting XP users through AU.
