Why not Outbox automatic ?

Why is it that the finished message is not automatically sent as in OE ?

I find it very annoying to think it has been sent only to be reminded before
getting out of Outlook, that the are some messages waiting to be sent.
 
You have to set this in Tools, Options, Mail Setup. You can setup auto mail
checking every 10 minutes or more by pressing Send/receive button. This is
better than send immediately because it gives you the chance to edit or
recall messages.

I am new to Outlook, coming from years of Outlook Express.

I wish I could just find a free German Spellchecker, since MS 2000 only has
English, French and Spanish.
