I went to the help and support center and used "Tools"-- to see the general information of my computer, and I was amazed to see under " the general information of computer" there were two IPs of my computer. The second one was my real IP. I use ADSL modem to access the internet, the first one is the IP I configured for the local connection. And-- I have two connection in the " network connection" --one is the local connection, the other is broadband connection( wan PPPOE). Absolutely I have an only way to connect to the internet. Why is that?

Your system really has two IP addresses, that's why.
It could have a dozen of them.... nothing to worry about, this is normal.

My question is: If one use ADSL PPPOE, his system definitely has two IP addresses?

You would normally have one IP address for your end of the PPPoE link, this
address is usually supplied automatically by your ISP and is the IP by which
other people on the internet can address your computer.

Each network card you have in your PC will also have (at least) one IP
address. Normally these have private (192.168.x.x) addresses which can not
be reached from the Internet.
